Teaching Focus

We provide undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses in computing. Graduates with good results may proceed to Masters and Doctorate degrees either through the honours course or by completing a Postgraduate Diploma. For more information, visit the Prospective Students page.

We provide degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering and Information Technology. Although all are related they differ in their technical focus. The following may help to clarify:

Research Spotlight

The Department of Computing is active in research and has a full graduate program. Areas of research include: Artificial Intelligence, Computer Graphics, Parallel and Distributed computing, Software Engineering, Algorithmics and Theoretical Computer Science, and Database Management.
